New Delhi: City Light North India has launched
nationwide prayer mobilization in the capital city of
India on the eve of Aug 15th India’s 63rd Independence
Day.
City Light is a spirit filled, spirit led network that
seeks to be a Catalyst Connecting Christ to the Culture
for Community Change. While addressing to the
participants Rev. Sam Abraham said, “It Is our desire to
see our generation changed by the power of the Holy
Spirit. The ministries that we are involved in, all seek
to bring people to the full knowledge of and
relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to fulfill the
two Great Commandments and the Great Commission”.
Over 50 pastors and Church planters gathered at V20
Bible Church, Green Park, New Delhi to mark this new
prayer wave. Rev. Wilson Joseph gave the keynote message
and , Rev.Biju John dedicated the City Light North
India. Rev.Prakash Pathi led the intercessory prayers.
City Light is setting up prayer circles across the
country. In each community, a prayer leader is being
identified and that person then selects twelve
additional leaders who agree to pray for one hour each
month. Ideally, those twelve leaders would then set up
their own prayer circles (ministry) and this would
continue to spread. Leaders would be expected to
maintain regular contact with the National office of
City Light and to attend such meetings, orientations or
training session as may be necessary from time to time.
City Light is planning to launch its network in all
North Indian states and Cities in the coming years.
