Veteran Christian promoted to glory at 104

Trivandrum (Kerala): A pioneer of church planting and veteran believer, Job Deacon was promoted to glory at the age of 104 on 2nd October. Hundreds of believers and ministers attended his funeral at A. G. Church, Nedumkuzhi on October 3, 2009. Bro. L. Sam, Pastor T.J. Rajan and other leaders spoke about his great services to the gospel. He started the A G Church at Nedumkuzhi and helped planting many more churches in the nearby villages.

He is survived by four children who are all Pentecostal believers and gospel workers. Job Deacon was born on Karkidakam 5, 1082 of Malayalam year, that is in 1905 AD. He was born among five siblings as the son of Samuel and Maria in the house of Amaravila Kuttanadi. His parents were CSI believers, and they encouraged Job in godly matters. Job engrossed himself in spiritual matters since he was a boy, and always attended worship services in the church.
