Pray for Sherri Tuttle, Pastor
Charlie Tuttle's wife
who is battling cancer.
Pastor Charlie's mail:
November 11, 2009
It’s 6:50 AM and I am writing this update from
Presbyterian Hospital. I apologize for sending this so
late in the week, but our lives and schedule have been
rearranged dramatically since Monday afternoon. Some
have heard and others have not, so I thought an email
update might be the best way to inform everyone.
On Monday afternoon, Sherri and I received tests results
showing that cancer had returned. She has two tumors,
one on her liver and one on her lower right lung. Tests
also show most tissues and organs, except for the heart,
spine and brain to be affected as well. As you can
imagine, we were somewhat overwhelmed.
Sherri will have outpatient surgery today. They will do
a biopsy on the tumors and place a port in her chest for
chemotherapy. Once she heals, she will begin chemo next
week. In spite of all this, there is good news.
The good news is if this cancer is the same type Sherri
had previously, (and there is a great chance it is) then
they have the medicine to effectively treat her
condition. We asked the doctor if this was a hopeless
case; the doctor’s response was “Not at all, I am very
hopeful we can defeat this.”
Our family asks for your prayers as we journey through
this season of challenge. We would appreciate you
requesting prayers from others whom you know as well. We
do not want sympathy, pity or sorrow; Sherri is not
dead, only ill. God is a healing God and we stand in
faith believing Sherri will be healed. Please believe
with us!
Sherri’s statement today is “I am mad at the devil.”
We’ve put on the fight gear of faith and we will be
victorious. We refuse to allow reality to shape our
destiny.
Sherri and I will see you Sunday morning at FWC. Come
ready to worship and receive from God! Also, as you pray
for
Sherri, please pray for Neil Oliver, Joyce Pierce, Eula
Dean Blazer & Sue Glines who are also battling cancer.
Sherri and I love you and appreciate you! We stand on
Psalm 107:20 "God sent His Word and healed them and
delivered them from their destructions." I’ll keep you
informed.
Blessings,
Charlie Tuttle.
