A unique display of unity
was presented when more than thirty Pentecostal churches
of Faridabad came together under one banner to organise
the 10th HMI Haryana Region Annual Convention from 23rd
to 25th October at Lion’s Community Hall, NIT, Faridabad.
The convention culminated in a wonderful Combined Sunday
Worship Service of all the
participating churches which
saw an attendance of about 700 people. Many branches of
the same organisation or denomination coming together
for combined worship services is a common thing, but
churches belonging to different denominations and
organisations coming together to hold a combined Sunday
service is something very rarely heard of! This is what
the churches of Faridabad have done by coming under the
banner of Hospital Ministries - India to host this
convention!
The praise and worship sessions led by Carmel Worship
Team, Faridabad, provided people with a conducive
ambiance to praise God with all their might and to
immerse in the joy of worship. The main speaker was
Pastor Shibu K. Mathai of Shifalaya, New Delhi.
Everybody was touched and blessed through the messages.
The Lord promised through prophetical word that India
would soon see a great revival leaving no city
untouched. Many people rededicated their lives to God,
while many accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal
Saviour and decided to take water baptism. Some
participants reported healing from their ailments.
In the previous editions of this convention eminent
servants of God from different parts of the nation like
Dr. Paul Pillai, late Dr. Thomas Mathew, Pr. K A
Abraham, Sis. Anna Kandathil, Pr. T J Simon, Pr. T J
Samuel, Rev T C Mathew (HMI Chairman) and Rev M P
Georgekutty (HMI Director) have blessed the vision of
the participating churches and ministered from the Word
of God.
The 10th edition Organising Committee - Pr. Robinson P
K, Pr. Aji Augustine, K M Mathai, C T Samkutty and Pr. S
K Stephen under the leadership of General Coordinator
Pr. Abraham Daniel - worked day in and day out to ensure
the success of the event in spite of many challenges.
Pr. Abraham later told this reporter that at times he
thought of giving up because of the difficulties he
faced in bringing everybody together, but later on he
realised that the fruits of the efforts are worth
putting in the best efforts. The convention ended on a
wonderful note with a love-feast for one and all.
Everybody who attended was blessed beyond all
expectations.
