SAVEC'S SIXTH BATCH READY FOR HARVEST

New Delhi: The sixth batch of students of Sacred Assemblies Visionary Equipping Centre (SAVEC) graduated on April 26, 2009. Fourteen successful trainees were awarded diplomas at a solemn ceremony held at the SAF Prarthna Bhawan at Sonepat, Haryana.

Mission leaders and pastors of Sacred Assemblies Fellowship from Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana and Delhi

participated in this graduation service. It also witnessed a crowd of hundreds of believers from Delhi and Haryana. 14 students completed their one year class room education and 12 students were given certificates for completing the one year practical training too. "You must begin your mission work at home. The greatest missionary is one who can proclaim the Gospel in the family and neighbourhood". Pastor M.K. Babu exhorted the graduates through his message. Pastor K.V. Samuel and Pastor K. Pappachan gave away the certificates.

This Bible Training Centre was started in the living room of Pastor M.K. Babu in 2003. It has produced 79 workers so far serving the Lord in different states of India. SAVEC offers a hands on training in practical Christian ministry. It is a two year course, one year class room and one year practical training in the field by assisting a pastor. The SAVECs proved themselves as powerful and fruitful church planters and equippers during all these years.

An ordination service was also held along with the graduation service. 3 pastors were given ordination. Two pastors were given the second level of ordination and 9 were given the first level of ordination. They were from Haryana, Delhi, Jharkhand, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh. The participants left the meeting with great zeal and encouragement.
