EVANGELIST KILLED IN BIHAR

An evangelist has been killed in Jamalpur of Bihar
allegedly for his conversion activities in the area. A
media team consisting of Pastor Yunus Mandal and some
youngsters went to screen a film on Jesus Christ at
Laksmanpur village in Jamalpur on 2 May 2010.

BAIL GRANTED AFTER 7 DAYS FOR CHHATTISGARH BRETHREN
Durg: Bail has been
granted to the four Believers from the Bhilai Brethren
Assembly, who were arrested after Hindutva fanatics
filed a complaint against them for alleged 'forcible
conversion" on April 15. The fanatics allegedly from the
Bajrang Dal and Dharam Sena (Religious Army) attacked
them while they were distributing gospel tracts around
8.30 in the morning. The victims have suffered cuts and
wounds on their bodies.

HEADSCARF ROW: PRINCIPAL SUSPENDED
Alleppey, May 8, 2010: The
principal of Believers' Church English Medium School at
Gurupuram, Alleppey (Kerala) who issued a transfer
certificate to a Muslim girl student allegedly for
wearing a headscarf to school, has been placed under
suspension by the school management. However, the
parents of the student have refused to accept the
suspension and have threatened to move court if the
principal was not sacked.

implications, the Allahabad high court has ruled that a
non-Muslim bride must convert to Islam to marry a
Muslim. Failing that, the matrimony with a Muslim man
