Amritsar: A Punjabi book - Rooh di Khurak (Food
for the spirit) - first- of- its kind spiritual resource
in Punjabi was released in Amritsar during a gospel
convention held on 30 and 31 May organised by Bethlehem
Punjabi World Outreach.

The convention was attended by thousands of people from
the nearby villages. Pastor M.K. Babu ministered from
the Word and Punjab's popular Christian singer Balbir
Suffi led the Praise and worship sessions. The evening
Gospel meetings concluded both days around 11 pm and
many accepted Christ as their personal Saviour and
received Healing spiritually and physically. Pastor
Tarsim Masih, Bros. Prakash, M.Das, Bobby Das and
Satinder Prakash gave leadership to organise these
meetings held at Vidala village.
The book - Rooh di Khurak - was authored by Pastor
Jatinder Prakash Gill. It gives a good introduction to
Christian doctrines in simple language. It is hoped that
it will prove to be an essential tool in the hands of
Punjabi speaking pastors and lay leaders.
The Assemblies of God has endorsed this book for use in
their churches. Several pastors and leaders who hail
from Punjab have welcomed this book.
Pastor Jatinder Prakash Gill is serving as Pastor of
Bethlehem Punjabi Church in Queens, New York, along with
his wife Rosleen Gill and daughter Evangeline Gill. He
was born and brought up in Punjab. In 1991, he became a
committed Christian while at a Seminary in Dehradun.
After his theological studies, Jatinder planted 3
churches in India and then moved to the USA in 2001.
There, he pioneered Bethlehem Punjabi Church in New
York. God is using him mightily in different parts of
the world among the Punjabi diaspora.
