Dear Sir,
This is with concern to the article you wrote in praise the almighty on section 377, I was surprised to see such a cutting edge article in your magazine, but I was more disappointed than glad that such an article had been printed. What I meant to say was that although all the dark nature of homosexuality was laid out in its detail. There was never even a word about what the bible says about a way out, Jesus when an adulteress was brought to him did not condemn her but sought to free her from the accumulated baggage of her sins

Homosexuality as such is a sin like any other. and a way out can only be given through a knowledge of Christ. When a person understands the truth that when he accepts Christ as his personal saviour the body of sin or his nature to sin is also crucifed and rendered dead, and thus power to live a normal heterosexual life is given by the death of the homosexual nature itself. A teaching and realisation of this great truth is the way to freedom.

An article that did not address the way out was sorely incomplete because any person reading it who was plagued with such tendencies will only have his burden increased, and neither does it help to teach someone who knows such a person with anything new to help that person.

In case you were already planning to address this in your next article I apologise, but I do respect the brave nature you have to face some of the depraved habits from our society now. But perhaps if you think such an issue was not in the gamut of your article , then we can say that maybe it did not really help anybody but by giving information not deliverance.

- Dr. Issac M. Mathews

Author's reply:

Dear Dr Mathews
Thank you for your comments. I did not write this article as a tract to convert homosexuals.

Most of our readers are Christians. I hope that Christian readers will use my arguments against the common view that some people are born homosexuals and that gay lifestyle is an 'alternate sexuality.' The primary factor that made me write this was the proud boasting of the gay community. I just wanted to refute their claim that homosexuality is a form of sexuality. In fact, the original title of the article was "Homosexuality is not a sexuality."

Secondly, I wanted to air my view about the recent HC ruling. When Christians and other conservatives are making a lot of noise about this ruling, I just wanted to point out to them that the HC ruling can be a blessing for many unwilling victims of homosexual blackmail.

Dear Sir,
This is regarding the articles in PTA about the changes to be brought about in Bible Colleges of India. I appreciate your insights regarding the pitiable conditon of our seminaries. I hope that such writings will come to the notice of those who run these colleges. Keep up the good work.

Dear Sir,
I am receiving PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY for the last seven years. The improvement you made during these years is phenomenal. I appreciate your effort to give something to every age group according to their interest. Let it be a platform to discuss current issues and promote new writers. Visual media has taken the major portion of the readership of many newspapers. Still you have hope. Let PTA become a media that promotes readers.

Dear Sir,
I am a regular reader of PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY. I just passed 12th and am planning to go to College. Can PTA conduct competitions of essays and news coverages which will be an encouragement to people like me? I introduced this newspaper to my several friends. We read it and debate on many items of PTA. We would like to see more NCR news which is relevant to us.

Dear Sir,

I was reading Philip Eapen's article in May issue of PTA on theological colleges. I should compliment you for revealing the embarrassing truth about mushrooming bible colleges.

I have visited several colleges and silently observed what was happening over the years and felt very strongly against the attitude an purpose of the bosses. For many, it is a family run tax-free business. Many start Bible colleges just to add weight to their CVs and sends out morally bankrupt people to 'serve Lord and community'. One pastor told a theological college Professor once 'we send angels to you and you turn them to demons and send them back to torment us'. In most cases now colleges take 'demons in and teach then how to become a better qualified demon'. I have noticed in some colleges, people who are not even born again were sent in to study just to fill seats or fill district/area quotas, forget about the calling to ministry. (Using this very well, organizations like RSS are sending moles into these colleges). Most of the colleges hardly have any qualified faculty or facilities. They appeared to be bothered only about printing beautiful pictures and colourful souvenirs to get money from abroad and not on the quality of teaching nor about doctrines. They then place these half baked 'pastors or missionaries' in 'non-existent village churches' in North India and use them for their own benefits. (I myself have seen such 'churches' where money goes but church exist only on paper). This is again used like a vote bank politics by placing and supporting undeserving people at key positions by the big bosses!

In fact, I was also thinking in this line and was about to write one article. I am really happy that I am not alone in my thinking at least few others are thinking like me and have the guts to write and talk about it! Great!

Best Regards

Dr. Blesson

Dear Editor,
It was really nice to see the 10th Anniversary issue of ‘Praise the Almighty’. All these years, I have been enjoying reading this newspaper. It is really nice that you are continuing this in spite of so many problems and your busy schedule. May God bless you abundantly. I wish all the best and hope that one day this will be the topmost newspaper with a Christian perspective.

The article “ The Great Kerala Debate on Jewellery” was really an eye opener to so-called Orthodox Pentecostals of Kerala, objecting wearing jewellery. They always blame Orthodox Christians, but they forget that they are also following orthodox way of life. Finally in the bargain poor pentecostal women became scapegoat and men scot free.

It is better we must fight for change of such unnecessary rules and regulations. Recently I attended a wedding of pentecostal couple. The women were wearing costly sarees with glittering jewellery/stones and shining like stars in the glittering lights. They apparently see no problems in that! All the best for the magazine.

Dear Pastor M.K.Babu,
I am immensely pleased to write a few words in appreciation of the commendable contributions that you have been making for the Indian Christian society through the publication of 'Praise the Almighty' since 1999. The articles, testimonies and the news items which appeared in the publication over the past years have vindicated the truth about the suffering body of Christ in India as well as served to remove the misapprehensions about Christians and Christianity. Your journalistic efforts not only created awareness among the Christians but also were bold attempts to call the attention of the authorities and other secular people to the plight of Christians in the country.

Along with heartily congratulating you on the occasion of the celebration of God's faithfulness to the publication for the last ten years, I also pray that the Lord would extend your journalistic and writing efforts to wider territories and bless countless millions through this faithful ministry.

With regards and prayers,
Your co-labourer in the Lord's Vineyard

I praise God with you for the Light that shines in various kinds of darkness in a situation like India. The commitment and the courage you have are admirable and ever since I have known you, you are in my prayers.
