DIXIT DELHI CM AGAIN
New Delhi: Mrs. Sheila Dixit has become
Chief Minister of Delhi for record 3rd time. The
Congress party in the state under her able leadership
emerged victorious in the recent Assembly elections
conducted on November 29, 2008. Her party secured 43 out
of 70 Assembly seats.

'CITIZENS FOR PEACE' CONDUCT RALLY
New
Delhi: On
December 22, 2008 afternoon several hundred citizens of
various faiths and communities gathered on the lawns of
V. P. House, near the Indian Parliament, to listen to
music and leaders speak up for peace at Christmas and
through the new year. The event was organized by EFI’s
Reconciliation Commission under the banner of Citizens
for Peace to demonstrate inter-faith solidarity with the
Christians suffering in Orissa and all those who have
suffered from terrorism right up to Mumbai’s 26/11
attacks.

New Delhi: Archbishop Vincent M. Concessao, the
Archbishop of Delhi and the President of the National
United Christian Forum, which represents Catholic
Bishops Conference of India, National Council of Churches
in India and Evangelical Fellowship of India, has strongly condemned the terror attacks
in Mumbai, one of the worst in the recent history of
India.
