National Alliance (CANA) has announced NAASPC 2009
(National AIDS Awareness Spot Painting Competition) in
Partnership with World Vision India & Ravi Bharati
Institute, and The Leprosy Mission (TLM).
CANA invites churches and organisations to organize this
event schools and Churches, so as to give
students/children a unique opportunity to show their
talent in painting & win attractive cash prizes (in two
age group categories:- Category A-participants under 9
years of age, Category B-participants above 9 years & 18
years of age), as well get themselves aware of the
dreaded disease HIV-AIDS.
The theme for the Painting competition is “I have AIDS,
I need your Care”; Entry fee is just Rs.20/- per
participant (all the registered children will be given a
participation certificate). The competition may be held
on the event organisers' premises on any day before the
last date for submission i.e. 20th January 2010;
Children bellow 18 years are eligible to participate
irrespective of their religion, gender and educational
qualifications.
The event is being organized to create HIV& AIDS
awareness among children and students, to help churches
and institutions become HIV friendly units & to raise
awareness towards care and support of AIDS orphans and
infected and affected children in this country. CANA has
launched ‘UMANG’ program to support these children.
The organizers will form a National Panel to judge the
paintings. All paintings that have been received by the
National Panel by 20th of January 2010 will be reviewed
and the winners would be awarded through a awarding
ceremony. CANA would be communicating this to all the
Churches, institutions takes part in this event.
Local organisers may make payment through demand draft
in favour of Christian AIDS/HIV National Alliance (CANA),
payable in New Delhi and may use registered post/courier
for the postage. All the names and registration fee for
certificates have to be sent to CANA along with the best
three paintings of each category.
