Bangalore (Karnataka): The Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, ministered by Pastor Paul Thangiah, has collected a record offering for rebuilding churches destroyed during the anti-Christian violence in the state.

Whenever the pastor calls for a special offering, he identifies a day, then he goes on fast and praying for a miracle. Everytime, the offering used to be more than double his target. This offerinag was 72 lakhs (Rs 72,00,000) against his target of 25 Lakhs. He plans to build churches in Davengere, Chicmaglur, etc. He plans to build 27 churches in legally purchased lands for those Pastors whose churches were destroyed.

FGAG's 65% collection is given out. It has already built a lot many churches in SAARC countries, specially Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc., and gives to the pastors there (they are not FGAG branch churches). Once the churches are built, Pastor Paul or associate pastors of FGAG go for dedication. The dedication of the church thus constructed is shown on LCD to the church believers so the congregation knows where their money has gone.
