The flagging-off ceremony was well organised by a
25-member committee under the Chairmanship of Delhi
Minority Commission Member Arnold James. "Everybody in
India has the right to profess their faith but some
sects create disturbances through their provocative
words", NCM Chairman Mohd. Qureshi said in his speech.
The team members Rajeev Tyagi, Alwyn Singh, Feroz, Vinay,
Sandeep, Vishal and Umesh Puri departed from Delhi to
Mumbai with great enthusiasm and vigour.
Arch Bishop opened the ceremony with a song asking for
light, peace and freedom. A souvenir was released by the
Chief Guest to mark the occasion. Other than the
officiating members of the YMCA many dignitaries like
Delhi Minority Commission Members Arnold James,
Pushpinder Singh, Archbishop Vincent Concessao, New
Delhi YMCA President Vijay Kumar Sewak were present at
the ceremony.
