New Delhi: Pentecostals, a growing Christian
influence in Delhi, expressed their concern over the
legalization of consensual unnatural sexual relationship
by the Delhi High Court. Pentecostal Mission Fellowship
of India (PMFI), under the leadership of Pastor
N.P.Philip, organized a special seminar on the issue on
22nd July, 2009 at Rhema Worship Center, Lado Sarai and
discussed the social and moral consequences of the
verdict.
Pastor K. Joy, exposed the biblical position on
homosexuality and exhorted the community to uphold the
principles of Christian values and rescue the nation
from the judgment of God. He insisted on an
uncompromising stand against social evils and on purity
of Christian life. Advocate Manoj George, a Supreme
Court lawyer, who represents the case at the Apex Court
on behalf of the Christian community updated the
gathering about the legal steps taken against the
verdict.
“Christians should fight such moral perversions at all
levels,” he emphasized. The meeting passed a resolution,
demanding the Union Government to appeal against the
High Court verdict in the Supreme Court. Pastor P. K.
Samkutty presented the motion. Pastor M. Samuelkutty
chaired the meeting.
