New Delhi: Pentecostals, a growing
Christian influence in Delhi, expressed their concern
over the legalization of consensual unnatural sexual
relationship by the Delhi High Court. Pentecostal
Mission Fellowship of India (PMFI), under the leadership
of Pastor N.P.Philip, organized a special seminar on the

New Delhi, July 21: There is good news for
parents and children who wish to pursue an education in
English medium schools in Karnataka. Those who worried

Kannada-medium schooling from std 1 to 4 can breath a
sigh of relief. The Supreme Court refused to stay the
Karnataka High Court's judgment quashing a state
government order making Kannada the compulsory medium of

NEW DELHI: Health minister Ghulam Nabi
Azad on Wednesday urged political parties to rise above
vote bank politics and propagate the message of
population control, saying “aggressive campaign” was the
only way to convince the masses of the virtue of small
family. Ruling out any “coercive method” or
“legislation” to control population, Azad said in the
last 32 years, no political party did any aggressive
campaigning in this vital area.

NAGA YOUTH ATTACKED IN PUNE
On 21 June, about 15 local men assaulted four Naga
students from the northeast state of India in Salisbury
Park, Pune. Speaking to EFI, Naga community, ex-officio,

"the incident made the northeast students in Pune
insecure and we are taking the matter to higher

PRIEST MURDERED IN KARNATAKA
A Catholic priest was found murdered today, July 30, at
Belthangady of Dakshina Kannada district. According to
UCA News, a Catholic news agency, the disrobed body of
Father James Mukalel, 39, was found on a roadside in the
morning of July 30. The priest met with the tragic death
when he was returning to his parish, after attending a
funeral of one of his former parishioners.

23 July 2009: Claiming that they murdered VHP leader
Swami Laxmananda Saraswati, a young Maoist couple on
Wednesday surrendered before the police in Orissa.
Superintendent of Police AK Singh told media that a
rebel couple identified as Surendra Vekwara (19) and his
wife Ruby (18) from Rayagada district surrendered before
the police after divulging that they murdered Saraswati
last year.

Beijing: Some 13 million abortions are
carried out in China each year, in part because there is
little education about contraception or disease for the
