CHRISTIANS WANT RIOT BILL CHANGED
Delhi, March 17, 2010 (UCAN): An
ecumenical group wants the Indian government to review a
proposed law that aims to contain sectarian violence in
the country. In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh the All India Christian Council says the Communal
Violence (Prevention, Control and Rehabilitation of
Victims) Bill, 2009 does not adequately address several
issues that disturb sectarian peace in the country.

SC: NO LAW AGAINST LIVE-IN RELATIONSHIPS
New Delhi 23 Mar 2010 (TOINS): The Supreme
Court on Tuesday observed that the live-in relationships
between the adult couples cannot be treated as an
offence. “When two adult people want to live together
what is the offence. Does it amount to an offence?
Living together is not an offence. It cannot be an
offence,” said a bench comprising Chief Justice K G

home Bible study group in Southern California to either

The Bible study group was referred to as a “church” in a
letter sent by the city. All churches are required to
