 REFRESHING RAINS DURING HMU-FGC MISSIONARY
 CONFERENCE

New Delhi : The annual missionary conference of the Harvest Mission to the Unreached, Church planting wing of the Full Gospel Church of God, was held from March 3 to 5 at Campus Crusade for Christ India conference centre at Palam Vihar (Gurgaon). About 150 delegates represented from 15 states of North India. Guest speakers from India and abroad Encouraged the congregation from the Word of God.

The praise and worship sessions led by Pr. Daniel George and Pr. Biju Padavath witnessed a mighty release of the power of the Holy Spirit upon the worshippers. Rev Mathew Oommen (President, HMU), Dr. Varghese Mathew (Director, HMU), were the main speakers for the Conference.

The themes like “Claiming the promises of God”, “Enlarging territories”, “Raising the standards” and “Christian love” refreshed the participants.

Servants of God from Orissa could find solace and encouragement after being with their fellow workers from different parts of India. Pastor Mathew Oommen and Pastor P. K. Samkutty, General Secretary - FGC, laid hands on 38 pastors to grant them the ‘Ministers’ License’ and on 3 pastors to grant them ordination.

A new website www.harvestmissionindia.org was launched on the concluding day amidst great applause. A Hindi-English songbook titled “Harvest Songs” ideal for North Indian churches was also released. Pastor Cherian Oommen, National Coordinator HMU, told this correspondent that he was very happy to find a place in the NCR where so many delegates could be accommodated far from the hue and cry of the city! All attendees went back with a renewed vision and passion and with a firm conviction that India is going to witness a great transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit in the near future.
